Vanuatu’s only female sprinter, Chloe David, will compete this month at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
The confirmation comes from her father, Jordy David, who is currently with her in Japan.
He said Chloe began her training camp on Sunday and continued on Monday in Fukuoka ahead of the main competition.
“In preparation for Tokyo, Chloe is training at a sports camp facility with other athletes from across the Pacific. This program is a partnership between the Vanuatu Government and the Government of Japan, giving athletes a chance to prepare well for the championships. Chloe is the only female athlete from Vanuatu to take part,” Mr. David explained.
