Tafea Football Club from the Port Vila Football Association kicked off the 2025 VFF Women’s Championship League in dominant fashion, thrashing RIG FC from Torba Province with a massive 21–0 victory.

This week marks the official opening of the VFF Women’s Championship League, with Tafea FC and RIG FC playing the first match of the competition.

Port Vila is hosting this year’s national women’s championship, with all matches being played at the VFF Freshwota Stadium.

In this afternoon’s opening game, Tafea FC led 13–0 at halftime, before returning even stronger in the second half to extend their lead to 21–0 by full time.

Team Manager Waimo Taripakoa said he was pleased with his team’s performance in their first match of the tournament.
