Over 3,200 Year 10 Students Advance to Year 11 in 2026

More than 3,200 students who sat Year 10 examinations last year have successfully progressed to Year 11 in 2026.

Figures released by the Ministry of Education last Friday show that a total of 3,259 students passed the Year 10 examinations. This includes 2,401 Anglophone and 858 Francophone students.

Out of approximately 4,800 candidates who sat the Year 10 exams in 2025, the results indicate a pass rate of over 67 per cent.

Meanwhile, Year 12 results show stronger performance, with 1,880 students passing out of 2,335 candidates, representing a pass rate of around 80 per cent.

However, combined results for Years 10 and 12 reveal that close to 2,000 students out of more than 7,000 candidates did not pass their examinations, with the majority being Year 10 students.

The Ministry of Education has already released the Year 10, 12, and 13 examination results last week. The list of students who qualify for scholarships is expected to be published later this month.

The 2026 academic year, Term 1, is scheduled to officially begin on Monday, 26 January.
