With climate change increasingly affecting Small Island Developing States (SIDS), the role of media has become more important than ever.
This week, VBTC participated in a key workshop organized by the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development and UNESCO.
The workshop aims to build the capacity of media organizations across the Pacific, equipping journalists with the skills to report on government policies and analyze their effects on people’s lives.
Participants came from Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, and Samoa, joining discussions on how media can play a proactive role in informing communities about climate change and policy impacts.
