G-United FC has made history as the first club from Penama Province to qualify for the semifinals of the VFF Futsal Men’s Championship League – 4th edition, currently taking place at Korman Stadium and the Tagabe futsal court in Port Vila.
The club’s qualification marks a milestone achievement for Pentecost and Penama football, as G-United becomes the first-ever team from the province to reach the national semifinals of a VFF futsal tournament.
During the week, G-United proved their strength against tough competition from other football associations under VFF.
Their journey to the semifinals came after two major wins:
- On Tuesday, G-United defeated Ascension FC of the Luganville Football Association, last season’s finalist, with a 6–4 victory in their opening match.
- In their second game, they overcame Arab 6Y FC, the Shefa Football Association champion, with a 3–2 win on the Tagabe futsal court.
These back-to-back wins sealed their place in the semifinals, showcasing their rising dominance in national futsal.
The remarkable performance by G-United FC not only highlights their talent and teamwork but also represents a proud moment for Penama Province, as they carve their name into Vanuatu Football Federation history.
