The Port Vila City Council (PVCC) is on recess for the Christmas and New Year period.

In a statement issued from the Office of the Clerk of PVCC, it says that during this recess there is also a suspension of the Town Planning Committee until the Council resumes sittings in the new year, in accordance with municipal law.

This means there will be no committee meetings, and all planning applications, proposals and consultations are suspended during the recess period.

Normal services provided by the Council, such as rubbish collection and other essential services, will continue throughout the Christmas and New Year period.
