The Vanuatu Table Tennis Federation has proudly announced that Tracey Mawa has been selected to join the Oceania Talent Team this month.
Mawa earned her place after a strong performance representing Vanuatu at the Pacific Mini Games held in Palau last month. Her achievements at the games, where she won several medals, caught the attention of the International Table Tennis Federation Oceania (ITTF-Oceania).
Supported by the Australian government through PacificAus Sports and in partnership with the Australian Olympic Committee, ITTF-Oceania has created a special Pacific talent team. This team will attend an intensive training camp at the Auckland Table Tennis Association in New Zealand.
Tracey Mawa will join athletes from across the Pacific to develop her skills further and prepare for upcoming international competitions. This opportunity reflects Vanuatu’s growing presence in the sport and offers hope for more international success in the future.
The Vanuatu Table Tennis Federation congratulates Mawa on her selection and wishes her the best as she represents the nation on the Oceania stage.
