The new academic year for schools across the country has started again this week.

The Teaching Service Commission has taken this opportunity to remind all teachers that, under the law following the new amendment to the Teaching Service Act of 2013, only teachers who hold a valid teaching licence are allowed to return to teaching in classrooms.

According to a recent circular issued by the TSC, teachers who do not hold a licence are not permitted to teach until they complete a teacher registration form and submit it, along with other required documents, to the Commission.
