MOET Releases Year 13 Results, Over 1,100 Students Placed in Training Institutions

The Ministry of Education and Training has released the Year 13 examination results, showing that more than 1,100 students have been placed into post-secondary education and training programs.

In the past, many Year 13 graduates faced difficulties securing clear pathways after secondary school, with some unable to continue at institutions such as the Vanuatu Institute of Technology, the Agriculture College, USP or NUV.

However, under the new placement process, all Year 13 students have now been allocated a training institution. The Ministry says the final decision on whether to accept a placement or pursue an alternative pathway remains with students and their parents.

In total, 1,138 Year 13 students from both Anglophone and Francophone systems have been placed into post-secondary institutions.

Of these, 638 students have been placed at the Vanuatu Institute of Technology, more than 100 at the Vanuatu Agriculture College, and about 342 at rural training centres nationwide.

The results also show that around 361 Francophone students have successfully completed Year 13 and progressed to Year 14.

The Ministry has advised students whose names did not appear in the results to wait for the scholarship list, which has yet to be released.

Meanwhile, the Ministry confirmed that Year 12 results will be released on Wednesday, 7 January, followed by Year 10 results on Friday, 9 January.
