The Government of Vanuatu is looking to appoint new leadership for Air Vanuatu Operations Limited and Airports Vanuatu Limited (AVL)

In a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister, the government acknowledged the major challenges faced by the airline in the past but reaffirmed its commitment to securing a strong future for the aviation industry and moving forward with plans to rebuild Air Vanuatu.

As part of this process, the government announced that the Commercial Investment Unit under the Ministry of Finance is inviting expressions of interest until the end of this month from individuals with the appropriate qualifications to serve as members of the Board of Directors.

Once appointed, the new Board will be responsible for overseeing the full restructuring and revival of the nation’s flag carrier airline.
