Vanuatu Finishes 5th in 2025 OFC Women’s Nations Cup

Vanuatu has secured fifth place in the 2025 OFC Women’s Nations Cup held in Suva, Fiji.

On Sunday, President of the Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF), Lambert Maltock, paid a visit to the national women’s team at their accommodation in Suva to personally thank and commend the players for their performance.

That evening, the team shared a farewell dinner ahead of their return flight to Vanuatu on Monday.

The tournament brought together eight Pacific Island nations, all competing fiercely for a spot in the finals.

Solomon Islands emerged as champions after defeating defending title holders Papua New Guinea in a 3–2 thriller, taking the OFC trophy home to Honiara.

Papua New Guinea finished second, followed by Samoa in third place after they eliminated tournament hosts Fiji, who placed fourth.

Vanuatu ended the campaign in fifth place—an encouraging result in what has been described as one of the most competitive editions of the tournament so far.
