Argentina, Brazil and Others Join Hosts USA, Canada, and Mexico
Six countries from South America have secured qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2026, following the region’s qualification matches.
The teams are Argentina, Ecuador, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Colombia. These countries will join hosts USA, Canada, and Mexico, as well as Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Uzbekistan, and Morocco in the tournament.
Other nations that have qualified so far include Australia, South Korea, and Jordan. With these teams confirmed, 30 spots are still available for other countries around the world to compete for in the remaining qualification matches.
In Europe, no country has yet secured a place, as UEFA qualification matches continue through October and November.
Meanwhile, in Africa, Morocco became the first nation to secure a World Cup spot after defeating Nigeria 5-0, according to FIFA reports.
