Investigators will carry out further work before the Magistrate hears the case involving Member of Parliament (MP) for Ambae, Jay Ngwele.

MP Ngwgele, who also serves as the Deputy Leader of the Opposition, is facing fraud allegations linked VT 1 million.

He is being accused of misappropriating the money entrusted to him to purchase a truck.

This morning, MP Ngwele appeared at the Magistrate’s Court in Port Vila with his lawyer, Nigel Morrison, alongside Prosecutor Simka Blessing for Preliminary Inquiry.

However, due to ongoing investigations, the case was adjourned to August 21.
