Following the completion of the national examinations, the Ministry of Education has confirmed that school placements for 2026 have been successfully finalized, with 1,385 out of 1,797 students from the anglophone stream and 495 out of 538 students from the francophone stream placed into schools to continue their Year 13 studies.
The Ministry released the official list of Year 12 students from 2025 who qualified to progress to Year 13 this year. Total enrollment for Year 12 in 2025 was 2,335 students, combining both English and French streams. Of these, anglophone students made up 1,797, accounting for 76 percent of the total, while 538 francophone students represented 25 percent of the cohort.
“After the national exams, placement to schools has been completed successfully for 2026. This ensures that students who passed are ready to continue their senior secondary education,” the Ministry stated.
The Ministry also emphasized that the successful placement of students is part of its ongoing efforts to provide a smooth transition between junior and senior secondary levels. Schools are now preparing to welcome the newly placed Year 13 students, with programs set to begin at the start of the academic year.
Education officials encourage students and parents to check the official placement lists and complete all enrollment requirements to secure their spots in schools for Year 13.
