Both the men’s and women’s table tennis teams have made history for Team Vanuatu at the 2025 Pacific Mini Games in Palau, after advancing to the semi-finals of the team competition.

The achievement follows two strong matches yesterday against Kiribati, with both teams winning 3 sets each to eliminate their opponents.

It marked the return of star players Yoshua Shig and Ham Lulu, who helped lead the men’s team to the semi-finals first, followed shortly by the women’s team, who also secured their ticket to the next stage.

The upcoming semi-final matches will now determine which teams go on to fight for gold.
