More than 100 representatives from 11 Area Councils in Sanma Province, along with officials from the Sanma Provincial Government, have just completed a three-day planning forum organised by ADRA Vanuatu to guide upcoming community development work.
Held from June 9 to 11 in Nokuku, North West Santo, the forum brought together men and women from village development committees to discuss community challenges and design practical solutions for the months ahead.
Participants also had the opportunity to engage in open discussions with provincial government officials, raising concerns and asking questions about the province’s support for local development.
The bi-annual forum was funded by ADRA New Zealand and the Latter-Day Saints Charities (LDSC).
ADRA Vanuatu has confirmed that the next bi-annual forum will take place in Avunatari, on the island of Malo.
