Deputy Leader of Opposition, MP Gracia Shadrack withdrew the motion of the no confidence that calls for the removal of Speaker of Parliament, Felix Steven.

The motion lodged by MP Shadrack and MP Andrew Wilbur Napuat was declared in order and ready to be moved this morning.

The Deputy Leader of Opposition explained that the Parliament Standing order which the motion was based has been suspended.

Speaker of Parliament, Felix Steven noted that although some parts of the standing order are silent on some matters, members can dispute decisions made by the Speaker by written motions for the parliament to discuss.
