The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade of the Republic of Vanuatu has expressed deep sadness over the passing of His Excellency Ambassador John Licht, who served as Vanuatu’s Ambassador to Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.

Ambassador Licht held this important diplomatic role from 2018 and was widely respected for his dedication and distinguished service. Throughout his career, he played a vital role in advancing Vanuatu’s foreign policy interests, particularly in strengthening the country’s relationship with the European Union and its member states.
