Vanuatu’s top table tennis player, Tracey Mawa, has been selected to join champions from across the Oceania region for a five-day training camp in Auckland, New Zealand.
Mawa departed for New Zealand yesterday and will head straight into the camp this week. Her selection follows her outstanding performance at the Pacific Mini Games in Palau last month.
Anolyn Lulu, a board member of the Vanuatu Table Tennis Federation, expressed pride in Mawa’s achievement.
“It is exciting to see Vanuatu represented at a training camp like this for the first time. Tracey’s participation shows the progress of table tennis in our country,” Lulu said.
The Oceania Tennis Training Camp brings together top athletes to build skills, share experiences, and prepare for upcoming regional and international competitions.
