A major rebranding has taken place in Vanuatu football, with one of the Professional League clubs now officially renamed Vanuatu United Football Club.

The announcement was made today 11 September, at the Vanuatu Football Federation headquarters in Port Vila. General Manager Christian Happel explained that the change reflects a vision for the club to represent the whole of Vanuatu, not just one area.

Alongside the new name, the club has also adopted a new nickname, “Ol Jifs.”

The choice of nickname symbolises leadership, respect, and responsibility values the club says it wants to embody both on and off the field.
