The repair of Efate Ring Road and Santo East Coast Road has become a key priority for the government. Under the One Hundred Day Plan, the government aims to issue tenders and sign contracts for the much-needed road repairs in both locations.

The project is part of the government’s broader infrastructure agenda, discussed during a meeting last month between Prime Minister Hon. Jotham Napat and U.S. Ambassador Anne Marie Yastishock. During the meeting, Ambassador Yastishock assured that an assessment of both the Efate Ring Road and the Santo East Coast Road will take place as part of the review process for the road projects.

The government’s One Hundred Day Plan also includes the construction of a new bypass road in Port Vila, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion and improving transportation efficiency in the capital.
