Deputy Prime Minister Johnny Koanapo says Vanuatu and France have concluded recent negotiations over sovereignty and permanent maritime boundaries concerning Matthew and Hunter Islands, without reaching an agreement.

DPM Koanapo, who led Vanuatu’s delegation during the talks in Paris, described the negotiations as challenging and said discussions will continue as part of Vanuatu’s position on maritime boundaries, sovereignty, and decolonisation.
