The Indonesian Navy’s Hospital Ship, KRI Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo-991, has concluded its mission in Vanuatu, having provided free medical services to many individuals. The ship was docked in Port Vila for two days, starting its operations on Sunday.
Commodore Yusliandi Ginting, team leader incharge, confirmed that Vanuatu was the third country visited in the Pacific, following stops in the Solomon Islands and Fiji.
The ship also delivered over 30 medicine supplies to the Ministry of Health, which will be distributed to islands facing shortages, according to Dr. Samuel Posikai Tapo, the Director of Planning at the Ministry of Health.
The KRI Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo-991 departed for Papua New Guinea today.
