Since its establishment in Port Vila, Etas Grace School has hosted its first-ever sports carnival at Korman Stadium.
The event provides an opportunity for students to step into an open sporting environment and showcase their skills.
Parents turned out in numbers, expressing excitement and pride as they supported their children during the event.
One parent, Willie Asal, said seeing the children perform marks a new chapter in their sporting journey.
“Yes, this is the first time this program has started in Etas, and it is a good opportunity to support the youths.”
School Principal David Nelou said this is the first time students are taking part in such an open sporting event.
“The kids must have fun in sports activities. We want them to show their talent and enjoy themselves, and yes, this is the first time for the school.”
The sports carnival will run for two days, starting today and ending tomorrow.
The event is also aimed at selecting top athletes to participate in the upcoming SHEFA Games.
