All schools are required to provide the information about their operations to the Ministry of Education in order to access the government’s stimulus package.
The Education Director General, Bergmans Iati says the ‘Open VEMIS’ system is use to record all schools information.
Mr. Iati says some government and private schools have yet to access the funds because they have not provided their information.
“The information must include the total number of students in the schools and in each classes,” said Mr Iati.
He says “the provincial education officers have been informed about the process.”
Mr Iati says the ministry will not provide funds to schools who fail to provide their information.
The government has agreed to provide funds because schools will not charge students with any fees.
