The Department of Civil Registration and Identity Management (CRIM), under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is preparing to digitize its services, making it easier for the public to access and pay for civil services online.
This move follows the official handover of a scoping assessment report this month, conducted by Pacific Consulting and supported by the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).
The assessment focuses on CRIM’s current systems and explores the potential for introducing digital applications and payment solutions.
The overall aim is to provide a more efficient, reliable, and accessible way for citizens to access services such as birth registration, ID processing, and other civil records, all through a streamlined digital platform.
