The Ministry of Internal Affairs has collected VT2 billion in revenue this year, surpassing its original target of VT1.5 billion.
In a statement, Minister of Internal Affairs Hon Andrew Solomon Napuat said the ministry’s strong performance comes despite challenges caused by natural disasters.
“This year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs focused on raising VT1.5 billion to contribute to the government’s revenue so that services can be delivered to the people. The ministry has worked very hard to create revenue initiatives and encourage departments to be creative. By November, we had collected VT1.9 billion, and now for this month, I can confirm that we have already reached VT2 billion.”
Following the ministry’s strong revenue performance, the Government—through the Ministry of Finance—has increased the ministry’s revenue target by an additional VT1 billion.
This means the ministry’s 2026 revenue target will rise from VT1.5 billion to VT2.6 billion.
Minister Napuat says the ministry is ready to take on the challenge.
“The Ministry of Finance has decided to increase the revenue focus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by another VT1 billion. In the 2026 budget, the target moves up to VT2.6 billion. We must not complain — we must work extra hard to reach this amount.”
