HOT Heat Continues Across the Nation Cyclone Threat Remains Low- METEO

The intense heat currently affecting the country is a result of seasonal weather patterns, according to Ellen Luke, Weather Forecaster from the Department of Meteorology.

In a recent statement, Luke explained that the heat is due to low wind pressure, with winds currently ranging between 5 to 10 knots, resulting in slow-moving airflow. Additionally, a significant amount of north, north-east, and west winds are contributing to the continued heat, which is expected to persist in the coming days.

Addressing concerns about the possibility of a cyclone forming, Luke reassured the public that the tropical cyclone outlook for the next five days is low, with minimal chances of low pressure or a cyclone developing.
