Vanuatu Team Gains Experience at Oceania Youth Chess Championship


The Vanuatu Chess Federation team is currently participating in the Oceania Youth Zonal Championship in Christchurch, New Zealand, which began last week and continues into this week.

Team Vanuatu is competing in both the Open section with 163 players and the Women’s section with 40 players, across nine rounds of the tournament.

The championship has provided a valuable experience for the players, especially for Team Vanuatu, helping them to develop their skills and gain important lessons from international competition.

The tournament started on April 9 and concluded on Monday, April 13.
