The Vanuatu Teachers Union is calling on all its members who are actively teaching to continue with their duties while the legal process unfolds.
In a memo released by Secretary General Jonathan Yonah this week, the Union stressed the importance of maintaining stability in schools and upholding the Union’s legal integrity as they await a ruling from the Court of Appeal.
Mr. Yonah’s message comes as a reassurance to teachers, following recent legal developments.
Meanwhile, the Teaching Service Commission (TSC) confirmed to VBTC News today that no new suspension letters have been issued since the Supreme Court handed down its decision — a sign that the situation remains steady for now.
The Teaching Service has already filed an appeal, and the Court of Appeal is scheduled to hear the case on August 6.
