Vanuatu’s Prime Minister reshuffles Cabinet, appointing new Ministers for Health and Agriculture.

The Prime Minister has announced the appointment of two new ministers yesterday afternoon, introducing changes to key government portfolios.

Hon. Barthelemy Marcellino, Member of Parliament (MP) for Malekula from the Reunification Movement for Change (RMC), has been appointed as the new Minister of Health. He replaces

Hon. Tari Quetu John, MP for Ambae, of the Iauko Group.

Hon. Napat Jotham, MP for Tanna and President of the Leaders Party Vanuatu (VLP), has been appointed as the new Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries, and Biosecurity. He replaces Hon. Harry Xavier Emmanuel, from the Iauko Group, who now takes on the role of Minister for Infrastructure and Public Utilities.

These appointments took place just hours before the Head of States dissolves Parliament.
