Vanuatu’s women’s cricket team met Papua New Guinea for the second time in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 East Asia Pacific Qualifier, held at Albert Park in Fiji.

Vanuatu had previously defeated PNG last year to qualify for the World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi, Dubai. However, in the latest match, PNG came out on top, defeating Vanuatu by 9 wickets to secure the championship.

With this win, PNG not only claimed the ICC Women’s T20 East Asia Pacific title but also advanced to the global qualifier, taking another step toward the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup.
