The New Zealand High Commission in Vanuatu has today handed over an emergency kit to VBTC.
The kit is part of support provided by the New Zealand Government to help Pacific broadcasters prepare for and respond to disasters affecting their communities.
The support is aimed at helping broadcasters maintain communication and continue providing vital information to communities affected by disasters such as earthquakes, floods, volcanic activity and cyclones.
The initiative recognises the important role broadcasters play in keeping communities informed and connected during emergencies.
