Government Revenue Reaches VT29 Billion

The Government has collected more than VT29 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026, reaching 55 percent of its annual revenue target.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Johnny Koanapo said the figure covers revenue collected up to the end of June, with the total expected to increase once all financial records have been finalised.

“So far in 2026, we have collected VT29 billion, which is 55 percent of our annual revenue target. Some financial records are still being processed, and once they are completed, the percentage is likely to be higher.”

Mr Koanapo said the Government’s revenue performance remains strong, with collections currently 8.9 percent above target for this period of the year.

He added that when compared with the same period in 2025, Government revenue has increased by 5.7 percent, reflecting continued improvement in revenue collection during the first six months of 2026.
