Vanuatu and Australia have taken a major step toward signing the Nakamal Agreement, aimed at strengthening cooperation on infrastructure, economic development, and climate resilience.

This afternoon, the Deputy Prime Ministers of both countries signed the initiations agreement, with full signatures from both Prime Ministers expected around September when the pact is finalized.

Other ministers responsible for key sectors also signed the agreement, which covers a wide range of bilateral issues.
