Bemisas Health Center on Mota Lava Island has launched a 5000W solar power system and Starlink internet today , answering the longtime call of over 2,000 residents for reliable health services.
The new systems now allow the health center to operate 24 hours a day, enabling nurses to provide better night and emergency care. The solar setup will also keep medicines properly stored at all times, while the Starlink connection helps solve communication challenges, especially during disasters.
This major milestone is funded by the Australian Government through the REnew Pacific Program, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the National Green Energy Fund under the Ministry of Climate Change, Respond Global, and Helper-1.
