Ifira Black Bird Tops Vodafone Super League After Back-to-Back Wins

Day 2 of the Vodafone Super League went into full action over the weekend, with former PVFA champions Ifira Black Bird FC now leading the ladder with 6 points.

This follows their second straight win last weekend, defeating Vanuatu champions Galaxy FC 1–0.

The match, played last Friday, showcased quality football from both sides, ending the first half at 0–0. In the second half, Galaxy FC appeared to be pushing for a draw, but substitute Jean Pierre Tousi successfully converted a penalty, sealing three points for the Green and Yellow side.

In another key match, North Efate United FC made a strong comeback in their second appearance of the championship, thrashing Mauriki FC 4–0. They led 1–0 at halftime and added three more goals in the second half to secure their first win of the season.

The final match of Day 2 saw iCount Yatel FC take on Naka FC. The game started fast, with Naka’s Luka Tioni scoring early, followed by goals from Michel Coulon and Alex Saniel, putting Naka up 3–0 before halftime.

However, iCount Yatel fought back strongly in the second half, scoring four crucial goals to claim their first three points of the championship.

According to PVFA, Day 3 of the Vodafone Super League will continue this coming weekend.
