For Junior Kila, from Epi Island, supporting Vanuatu Made products is not just a choice it’s a responsibility. He says he buys local whenever he can, from food to household items.
“Vanuatu products are organic. They don’t have too many artificial ingredients that affect our health,” he explains. “The price is good, and the quality is durable. That’s why I choose them.”
But for Junior, it goes beyond affordability and health. Supporting manples, he believes, is about standing together as a nation.
“If we don’t support our manples, then who will support us? We can’t just sit and talk about change we must act. Buying local is one way we can prove our support.”
Looking to the future, Junior hopes to see the Vanuatu Made event grow into more than just a marketplace. “There needs to be more awareness, more panel discussions, more space to develop local products. Next year, I hope to see these improvements so we can continue to grow.”
For now, his message is simple: keep buying local, keep supporting each other.
