Wan Smol Bag Gives Youth Space to Learn New Skills

Young people who are not in school or employment are being encouraged to learn new skills and explore different opportunities through a Mini-Exhibition launched by Wan Smol Bag in Port Vila.

The exhibition provides a platform for young people to showcase their talents, creativity and skills, while also giving the public an opportunity to learn more about the different programmes and activities offered by the organisation.

Wan Smol Bag Manager RK Hinton told VBTC News that the organisation offers a range of activities for young people to explore.

“We have many different classes and we have a lot to show people what we are doing. We have music, circus, art, sewing and chess, and if you want to learn something, come down to Wan Smol Bag.”

Mr Hinton said the exhibition is particularly important for young people who may not currently be attending school or working, as it provides them with a safe space and an opportunity to try something new.

“There are many young people who do not know what to do. Many are not in school and many do not have work, and we offer them a safe space and a chance to learn something.”

He said the activities can help young people discover their interests and potentially find a passion they may want to pursue.

The Mini-Exhibition showcases the different talents and activities available at Wan Smol Bag, including music, circus, art, sewing and chess.

Through the initiative, the organisation hopes to encourage more young people to develop their skills, explore their creativity and discover opportunities that could help shape their future.
