Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed that it has not restricted travel to and from Tanna, following public confusion that a lockdown was in place due to the current whooping cough outbreak.
The Ministry said such information is false and urged the public to ignore rumours, instead follow key health messages to help stop the spread of whooping cough in the country.
VBTC News understands that while no border restrictions are currently in place, provincial health offices have already activated their Emergency Operation Centres (EOC) in response to the outbreak.
