Today, July 1st marks the beginning of one of the driest months in Vanuatu’s calendar, with August being the driest overall.
The Climate Division under the Department of Meteorology and Geo-Hazards says the month will be mostly dry with plenty of sunny days and only a few days of possible rain.
However, this outlook could change if a low-pressure system passes over the country, which may bring increased rainfall.
The Division also noted that temperatures will generally be cooler in July, with daytime temperatures ranging from 24°C in the south to 26°C in the north, and nighttime temperatures between 18°C and 21°C.
Sea surface temperatures are also expected to warm up slightly, reaching 25°C in the south and up to 26°C in the north.
