A women’s futsal tournament, sponsored by Minister of Climate Change, Hon. Ralph Regenvanu, is set to kick off this month at the Korman Futsal Field in Port Vila.

The competition is being organized by the South Efate Women’s Football League and aims to keep young women active, fit, and engaged both on and off the field.

Ten teams have registered for the tournament and have been divided into two pools. The opening matches, scheduled for April 18, will feature Eraniao vs Slacks Creek Tigers and North Efate United vs Saint Joseph.

Minister Regenvanu’s support is seen as a strong push to promote women’s participation in sports and create a healthy space for young athletes to thrive.
