The body of a 2-year-old girl who went missing in Malekula has been discovered two days after her disappearance.

Police says the child was last seen on Wednesday, March 12 in Vetura, Vao mainland, and her body was found on Friday, 14 March.

Police also confirmed that a male suspect linked to the case has also has been found dead allegedly due to suicide.

Authorities found out  about his passing when they arrived at his home on Monday, 17 March.

Police Commander  North, George Songi, stated that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
