The Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) is mourning the passing of one of its key contributors, Alain Alick, who died this week at the age of 53.
Late Alain Alick served as the Referee Development Officer at VFF and played a vital role in developing and mentoring referees across the country. His dedication to football officiating earned him recognition not only locally but also within the Oceania Football Confederation.
He was known for his commitment to training young referees and helping them rise through the ranks. His work made a lasting impact on the growth of referee standards in Vanuatu.
Alain also spent many years serving the Luganville Football Association as a referee in the northern province, where he was highly respected.
Originally from Paama, Alain Alick’s legacy lives on in the many referees he trained and inspired.
