The Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Jotham Napat, has confirmed that the country will host the highly anticipated Arts and Culture Festival this year in Tanna, scheduled for August. This marks the first time since 2019 that the festival will take place, following the last event in Malekula Island.

During his address at Chiefs Day, Napat assured the public that the Vanuatu Government would fully support the festival, which is being organized in collaboration with the Malvatumauri National Council of Chiefs.

“I am aware of the program ahead in Tanna this August. With the Yam you have given me today, I will take it and we will end it in the South. I confirm that the government will support this Arts Festival,” stated Napat.

The announcement has been met with excitement, as the Arts and Culture Festival plays a vital role in celebrating Vanuatu’s rich heritage and traditions.
