iCount Yatel coach to lead squad into MSG Prime Ministers Cup
Richard Iwai, head coach of iCount Yatel Football Club, has been appointed to lead the Vanuatu men’s senior squad as they prepare for the MSG Prime Ministers Cup in November.
The announcement was made last Friday at the VFF headquarters in Freshwota, where VFF President Lambert Maltok and his executive confirmed Iwai’s appointment.
The move follows Iwai’s recent success stories with iCount Yatel FC, both in last season and earlier this year, which influenced the federation’s decision.
Coach Iwai is expected to call up players soon into a preliminary squad before the final selection is made for travel to Papua New Guinea.
