Parliament has been adjourned for the third time this week and will reconvene at 8:30 AM on Friday, 16 May 2025, at Warwick Le Lagoon — marking the first time in Vanuatu’s history that a parliamentary sitting will take place outside of the Parliament building.
Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Stephen Dorrick Felix, announced this yesterday afternoon that a recent structural assessment revealed the Parliament building is currently unsafe for use.
He said the decision to hold Friday’s session at Warwick Le Lagoon is to allow time for proper arrangements to be made at the new temporary venue.
