Nambawan Wota has obtained a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification, allowing the company to distribute its products internationally. This achievement comes after six months of rigorous work to meet certification requirements.
The certification enables Nambawan Wota to export its bottled water to overseas markets, including China. The Director General of the Ministry of Trade and Commerce officially presented the certification to the company’s owner.
Speaking to VBTC News, Director of the Department of Industry, Noel Kalo, emphasized the significance of the certification in strengthening Vanuatu’s export sector. He highlighted the Ministry and Department’s role in supporting local businesses to expand into international markets.
“This is an important step in enhancing Vanuatu’s exporting services,” Kalo said. “It opens new opportunities for employment and economic growth.”
