Adventist Radio Vanuatu FM 107.5 has expanded its broadcast coverage to Luganville, extending the station’s reach beyond Efate for the first time.

The expansion was officially launched in Luganville, with the Vanuatu Seventh-day Adventist Church saying it hopes to eventually extend the station’s coverage further across Sanma Province and other parts of the country.

Director of Media for the Vanuatu Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pastor Max Senembe, said the expansion was aimed at reaching communities outside Port Vila.

“Currently the station is only in Vila, but we want to extend the reach to Santo too. There are people in Santo, not just Vila, Malekula and everywhere, so we want to reach everyone.”

Pastor Senembe said the station is primarily a religious broadcaster but is intended to be inclusive and accessible to people from different backgrounds.

The initial expansion currently focuses on Luganville, with plans to reach communities beyond the town in the future.

“For a start it is mainly Luganville, but in the near future it will reach beyond Luganville around Sanma.”

The station is expected to provide religious programmes and music to communities in and around Luganville, while also offering entertainment for drivers and passengers through its range of religious songs.
