The Torba Provincial Government Council election will be held on 3 February 2026.

Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Edward Kaltamat, signed the official election timeline yesterday afternoon, confirming key dates leading up to polling day.

Following the signing, candidate nominations opened immediately and will close on 12 December.

Kaltamat said nomination forms can be lodged at the Torba Provincial Headquarters or at the Electoral Office in Port Vila.

He said the Commission will work to publish the final list of candidates on 12 January, after the New Year.

“We will work hard to publish the names of the candidates on 12 January after New Year. But listen to the radio to hear which candidates have applied to qualify and contest. We will conduct the ballot paper draw on 16 January 2026. Once we declare the names of the qualified candidates, campaigning will officially open on 12 January 2026 and will close at midnight before polling day on 3 February 2026,” Kaltamat said.
